DeckPrepare is a special primer for external wooden decks. With a simple application and double effect, it reinforces the protection and adhesion of the subsequent surface finish with LOBA DeckOil / Color or LOBA DeckFinish Color. Thanks to powerful stabilization of natural wood substances, DeckPrepare slows down the natural aging of wood.

Application Instructions

- Ideal Conditions: Between +15 °C and +25 °C, relative humidity between 40% and 75%, material temperature between +15 °C and +25 °C.

- Avoid Hot Surfaces: Do not apply on surfaces exposed to strong or direct sunlight to avoid too rapid drying.

- Weather Forecast: Do not apply if rain is forecast within 3 hours after application.

- Pre-Test: If in doubt, apply on a test surface to check compatibility, adhesion, and appearance.

- Shake: Shake the material well before transferring to the LOBA bucket.

- Even Application: Avoid puddles, and if necessary, smooth with a brush or comb.

Solvent

The product is ready to use and should not be diluted.Application Tools / ConsumptionTools: LOBATOOL oil brush, brush.Consumption: 100-120 ml/m². Consumption may vary depending on the type of wood, moisture, and surface conditions. On very aged surfaces, consumption will be significantly higher.

Drying Time

Initial Drying: 1 hour. Wait until completely dry.Ideal Preparation: Consult the technical information of LOBA DeckDegrayer.Primer Application: The surface must be dry before application. Apply a coat of LOBA DeckPrepare.Second Drying: 1 hour. Wait until completely dry.Finish Application: Apply LOBA DeckOil / Color or LOBA DeckFinish Color according to technical instructions.For long-lasting preservation of appearance, we recommend a deep cleaning and annual application of a new coat on the deck.

Important Information

For types of wood with intense color in combination with LOBA DeckOil (especially the clear one), ensure an even application of the material.
